Nash Finch Company: Director of Construction and Engineering managing both construction and design departments. Completed in excess of $50 million in retail, office and distribution projects on an annual basis.

Healthsouth: Managed regional office completing in excess of $50 million of healthcare projects annually.

Region included 15 states and over 500 healthcare facilities.

MetLife: Managed multiple office renovations ranging from 5,000 – 25,000 square feet.

Max Madsen Mitsubishi : 28,000 square foot automobile dealership.

Wieland Metals: 90,000 square foot manufacturing facility expansion.

Corvus Responsibilities:

Norman directs Corvus’ Chicago office and is responsible for all project due diligence, budgeting and management. His program management responsibilities include site identification, site and facility due diligence, preliminary budgeting and scheduling, value engineering, professional consultant and contractor bidding and selection, project management, client interface, governmental approval management, budget and schedule compliance and project close-out. Norman is continually improving Corvus’ project management and client reporting methodologies in order to maximize the value brought to our clients.

Professional Qualifications:
Norman's construction/operations management experience includes facility start-up, renovation, equipment leasing, lease negotiations, and asset purchasing. He also worked with project teams involved in business acquisition, facilities management, OSHA and ADA compliance. He has extensive experience in completing project budgeting and financial analysis. Norman specializes in value engineering and contractor compliance to design parameters.

Norman has managed construction for several Fortune 500 companies including Caremark, Baxter Healthcare, Healthsouth and Nash Finch. His career has spanned a variety of project types including healthcare, office, industrial/manufacturing, distribution, retail, hospitality and residential projects. Norman’s strength stems from his ability to coordinate multiple projects and vendor teams efficiently and cost effectively. Norman has managed over 300 projects in complex healthcare facilities including hospitals, pharmacies, oncology and nephrology centers, MRI centers, x-ray, clean rooms and operating rooms. As a consultant Norman has utilized his extensive experience as an Owner’s Representative to manage projects for a wide variety of clients. Norman understands the necessity to communicate effectively with and fight passionately for each and every client. While working for Baxter, Healthsouth and Nash Finch, Norman managed in excess of $50 million on an annual basis.
